Whole Wheat Chicken Sausage and Spinach Pizza

Pizza is one of my all time favorite foods, and it can be made healthy! Pizza combines carbs, proteins, healthy fats. It’s actually a pretty well balanced meal option if done right and always feels like a cheat food!

This pizza is made with a whole wheat crust, chicken sausage (which is lean), chopped fresh baby spinach and low fat mozzarella cheese.

1 whole wheat pizza crust, rolled out into your pizza shape
2 sundried tomato chicken sausages (you can get any flavor you would like but we used sundried tomato for this recipe)
4-5 fresh baby spinach leaves
1/2 cup low moisture shredded mozzarella cheese
3-4 fresh mozzarella cheese balls
4 tablespoons low sugar marinara sauce

Spoon marinara over pizza crust and smooth almost to the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and diced sausage to cover the sauce. Finely chop spinach and sprinkle around. Rip up the mozzarella balls and place in different areas of the pizza. Bake at 475 F for 8-10 minutes!

2 slices equal 2💛 1💚 1❤️ 1💙
