Cheddar Ranch Stuffed Turkey Burger

The summer weather is perfect for grilling and there is nothing better on a hot summer day than a juicy cheeseburger! Utilizing zero and low point items, we created this delicious alternative to a heavy, greasy red meat burger. Coming in at only 7 WW Freestyle points per hefty burger (including bun), this stuffed turkey burger is a total winner.

The amazing hamburger buns that I used are 1 WW Freestyle point, low-carb and keto-friendly. These buns (with or without sesame seeds) can be purchased here via Smart Baking Co. 

Cheddar Ranch Stuffed Turkey Burger

A juicy and delicious ranch seasoned, cheddar stuffed turkey burger!
Servings: 3 Large Burgers or 4 Small Burgers

  • Raw turkey breast ground 99% fat-free, 1 pound
  • Hidden Valley Ranch homestyle seasoning mix 1 tsp
  • Mayonnaise 1/4 cup
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Sharp or Medium cheddar cheese 3 slices
  • Cooking spray no-stick, olive oil
  • 3 Smart Baking Company Smartbuns


  • Add ground turkey, ranch seasoning, mayo and salt & pepper into a bowl. Mix with a spoon until well incorporated.
  • Line a baking tray with foil and spray evenly with cooking spray.
  • Make 6 large balls of turkey mixture.
  • Press one ball down into a large flat circle. Repeat with two more.
  • Cut cheese slices into 4 pieces each, so you have 12 total.
  • Place the 4 pieces of cheese, stacked on top of each other into the center of your circle.
  • Take another ball of turkey and place on top of cheese, pressing down until the bottom circle and top circle are fully connected all around and no cheese can be seen. Repeat with other two burgers.
  • Heat grill/bbq to medium (350-450 degrees)
  • Spray well with grilling spray.
  • Once hot, place turkey burgers on grill and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until you get nice grill marks. Flip another 2-3 times until burgers have been grilled for approx. 6-8 minutes per side. They should feel firm to the touch once cooked through.
  • Remove from grill, let rest.
  • Toast bun and add lettuce, tomato, onions, avocado etc. if you would like.
  • Place burger on bun and enjoy!
